Sissy Taran is a former early childhood mentor and is currently a mentor in the Alcohol and Drug Abuse program for at-risk students. She was awarded Mentor of the Year in 2007 for her work and dedication. Sissy has been honored with outstanding service awards by both Beverly Hills and Santa Barbara school districts. She is an active community leader in C.A.L.M., Hadassah, the Anti-Defamation League and other organizations while still finding time for her first love – her children and grandchildren. Sissy lives in Santa Barbara, California.
